2021 Annual Progress Report Posted

Each year, the Credit Valley, Toronto and Region, and the Central Lake Ontario (CTC) Source Protection Region is required to report on progress made in implementing its Source Protection Plan. The 2021 Annual Progress Report has now been posted.

This is the fifth Annual Report since the CTC Source Protection Plan came into effect, covering the period of January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021.

In May 2022 updates were made to the Assessments Reports for the Credit Valley, Toronto and Region, and Central Lake Ontario Source Protection Areas and the CTC Source Protection Plan.

Updated Source Protection Plan Approved

Updated Source Protection Plan Approved

In December 2019, the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks approved updates to the Credit Valley Source Protection Area Assessment Report and the CTC Source Protection Plan.

The updated Source Protection Plan came into effect on December 5, 2019.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC CONSULTATION

Amendments to the Approved Credit Valley – Toronto and Region – Central Lake Ontario (CTC) Source Protection Plan

October 12th – November 15th, 2018

The Approved CTC Source Protection Plan (2015) identifies and evaluates water quality and quantity threats to municipal sources of drinking water. The Plan requires the action of multiple stakeholders and property owners to protect the water supplying municipal drinking water systems.

Hard copies of the Proposed Amended CTC Source Protection Plan can be obtained during regular office hours at the following locations:

  • Town of Caledon: 6311 Old Church Road, Caledon, ON
  • Credit Valley Conservation: 1255 Old Derry Road, Mississauga, ON
  • Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA): 101 Exchange Avenue, Vaughan, ON
